Simple Joy is a painting by a renowned local artist, Portchie. Portchie, born Jan Hendrik Viljoen, started his full-time art career at the end of 1994 after selling 100 paintings in one night at a large art exhibition. He is well known for his expressionistic and impressionistic bright, warm and happy colours.
